Encounter Walking Holidays Ltd is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

  • Third party software providers needed to process your booking, such as Intuit – Quickbooks (our accounts software) and Worldpay (our Credit Card Payments Company)

  • Specific third parties needed to provide your walking holiday, such as luggage transfer providers, taxi companies and accommodation providers

5. International Transfers
  • Some of your information may be processed by third parties outside of the European Economic Area. For example: Intuit – Quickbooks, Worldpay

  • We take the security of your personal details very seriously We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed.

7. Data Retention
  • It is necessary to keep some information for 6 years. This is for accounting and legal purposes only. This will be the information that is shown on your invoice.

  • No later than one year after your holiday, we will delete all information except you name and address and details of walks that you have booked with us. This information will be retained for three years for the purpose of ensuring that we provide the correct product for any further holiday bookings within that period
