The England Coast Path - Somerset Coast Path Sections

Quantock Hills in Somerset part of the Coast path

Somerset Coast Path / England Coast Path - A New Walking route to be launched Autumn 2020

58 miles of coastal trail along the newly opened England Coast Path route linking the South West Coast Path at Minehead to Brean Down in North Somerset. Along the way walk the unique and rarely visited Somerset Coast Path through the fossil beach at Kilve, the tiny port of Watchet (home of Coleridge's Ancient Mariner) and the River Parrett Estuary, finishing with some of the longest sands in Europe as you head for Brean Down and the first of the Mendip Hill range.

We will be taking bookings on this route for 2021 season and then extending it to link to Bristol from the coast once the England Coast Path is completed on the northern section - expected to be spring 2021.

Those wanting advance information or to discuss early booking options please contact us directly about it and we can update you on the latest position with this new and exciting route. Latest updates on the work to complete the England Coast Path from Brean Down to Aust, north of Bristol, are available from the Natural England Website here.

If you can't wait and want to look at an alternative route close by on which we already operate then look at the South West Coast Path from Minehead - which covers the same section of coast to the west of the Somerset Coast Path.
